Katseye posts notice on Weverse at 6: 45 p. m. ET
The message, posted by HYBE and Geffen and signed “HxG, ” said, “After open and thoughtful conversations together, we are sharing that Manon will be taking a temporary hiatus from group activities to focus on her health and wellbeing. ” The post added, “We fully support this decision. KATSEYE remains committed to showing up for one another and for the fans who mean everything to us. ”
Members confirm activities will continue
Fellow members Yoonchae, Lara Raj, Daniela Avanzini, Sophia Laforteza and Megan Skiendiel confirmed the group will “continue scheduled activities during this time” and wrote they are looking “forward to being together again when the time is right. ” The group closed the message with thanks for their fans, writing, “Thank you to our EYEKONS for your continued love, patience, and understanding. ”
Manon’s recent milestones and public comments
The 23-year-old Swiss-born singer has been open about the support she receives from the group; she told attendees at the 2026 Grammys that the biggest thing has been the members “constantly supporting each other. ” KATSEYE performed “Gnarly” during the Grammys medley and received nominations this year for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Gabriela. ”
On their recording timeline, the group released the EP SIS (Soft Is Strong) in 2024 and Beautiful Chaos in 2025; Beautiful Chaos produced two Billboard Hot 100 entries, “Gnarly” (No. 82) and “Gabriela” (No. 26). In an Instagram post earlier this month Manon wrote about attending and performing at the Grammys and called the experience one she would “never take for granted. ”
The Weverse notice, the public statement from the group’s joint labels and the members’ confirmations make clear that Manon’s departure is framed as temporary and supported by the band. The post used the exact wording that she will “return to the band when the time is right. ”
The group’s immediate plan is explicit: Katseye will keep to its scheduled activities while Manon focuses on her health and wellbeing. The notice names no specific timeline; it reiterates that the band looks forward to being together again when Manon is ready.
With the message posted on Feb. 20 at 6: 45 p. m. ET and signed by HxG for HYBE and Geffen, fans and industry observers have a single confirmed next step: the group will continue scheduled activities during the hiatus and reunite with Manon “when the time is right. ”
