Team GB Gears Up for Milano Cortina 2026 Finale on Friday
Team GB is set for an exhilarating Friday at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. The day features competitions across four different sports, with events happening throughout the day.
Schedule of Events for Team GB
Freestyle Skiing
Freestyle athletes Gus Kenworthy and Liam Richards will compete in the men’s halfpipe qualification. This event starts at 9:30 AM GMT. If they qualify, the finals will follow at 6:30 PM GMT.
Bobsleigh
Adele Nicoll and Ashleigh Nelson are ready to contest the women’s two-woman bobsleigh competition. Their first two heats will commence at 5 PM GMT. Remarkably, Nelson will make history as the second British woman to participate in both the Summer and Winter Olympics, having represented Team GB in Beijing 2008 and Tokyo 2020.
Speed Skating
Ellia Smeding will take to the ice for the women’s 1500-meter event, scheduled for 3:30 PM GMT. Smeding previously secured an 11th place finish in the 1000 meters and finished 25th in the 500 meters.
Curling
The men’s curling bronze medal match is set for 6:05 PM GMT. Team Mouat will compete in this match if they lose to Switzerland in their semi-final that evening. A win against Switzerland would propel them into the gold medal match on Saturday at the same time.
