Taraji P. Henson to Return as Scary Spice on Spice Girls Night — Fear Factor House Of Fear on Fox’s Schedule

The Masked Singer will be off the air this week because of Winter Olympics competition, but the show returns next week for “Spice Girls Night, ” when Taraji P. Henson will appear dressed as Scary Spice and Fox’s new reboot will stage a fear factor house of fear-themed installment.

Taraji P. Henson, who earlier this season was unmasked as Scarab, will don a Scary Spice persona when the competition resumes next week. Contestants scheduled to sing Spice Girls songs include Crane performing “Say You’ll Be There, ” Snowcone performing “Wannabe, ” and Pugcasso performing “Too Much, ” a return to themed performances after a run of varied tributes this season.

Fear Factor House Of Fear appears on the lineup

Fox’s new Fear Factor reboot is being promoted alongside the season’s themed nights and will feature host Johnny Knoxville in a “Fear Factor: House of Fear Night. ” The Masked Singer’s Season 14 lineup and themed episodes now include an intersection with that reboot, adding a stunt-oriented night to a schedule that has already featured tributes to “Star Trek, ” “Clueless, ” the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” franchise and the “Twilight Saga” films.

Why there’s no new episode this week — and what’s next

There is no new Masked Singer episode this week because Fox is repeating a 2024 special, The Real Full Monty, which the network programmed opposite the Winter Olympics. That special was described in promotional materials as featuring the late James Van Der Beek. The Masked Singer will return next week with 18 contestants still in play — Eggplant, Pugcasso, Queen Corgi, the Croissants, Owl, 14 Karat Carrot, Snow Cone, Galaxy Girl, High Voltage, Googly Eyes, Scarab, Handyman, Crane, Le Who Who, Pangolin, Stingray, Cat Witch and Calla Lily — and with the season’s contestants collectively cited as having sold 94 million records and earning multiple major nominations and awards.

So far in Season 14, celebrities unmasked include Billy Ray Cyrus as Owl, Teddi Mellencamp as Calla Lily, Claudia Oshry as Queen Corgi, Taraji P. Henson as Scarab, Tone Loc as Handyman, Tiffany Haddish as Le Who Who, Todd and Julie Chrisley as Croissants and David “Big Papi” Ortiz as Googly Eyes.
