Paddy Pimblett Shares Post-UFC 324 Weight Gain: ‘I’ve Been Eating Well’

Paddy Pimblett recently enjoyed a well-deserved culinary indulgence following his unanimous decision loss to Justin Gaethje at UFC 324. The 28-year-old fighter from Liverpool returned home, eager to savor a variety of his favorite dishes from local restaurants.

Paddy Pimblett’s Post-Fight Food Journey

After the fight, Pimblett embarked on a food tour. He sampled numerous dishes, including:

  • Multiple sandwiches from a restaurant where he dines for free.
  • A full English breakfast.
  • Chinese cuisine.
  • Brisket sandwich followed by pancakes.

Despite his appetite, Pimblett mentioned that he has not gained as much weight post-fight compared to previous instances. “I weighed myself this morning, I was only 86 kgs (190 pounds),” Pimblett stated in a video blog. This marks a significant difference from his usual post-fight weight of over 90 kgs (198 pounds).

Eating Habits and Weight Management

Pimblett revealed that he typically consumes one substantial meal each day, with occasional nighttime snacks. “I know the title says I got fat again but I’m not that fat,” he explained. He emphasized that his weight has remained relatively stable, unlike previous post-fight periods when he weighed closer to 94-95 kgs (210 pounds).

He noted, “We’re doing good. We’re doing all right.” Pimblett also expressed his enjoyment of food outside of training camps, stating, “Definitely not missing that fight camp diet. Food is definitely the best part after a fight.”

UFC Record and Future Plans

The loss at UFC 324 marked Pimblett’s first defeat in the promotion. He currently holds a UFC record of 7-1 and an overall career record of 23-4. As he awaits his next fight assignment, he remains focused on enjoying his time off while in Liverpool.
