Stern Pinball Inc. has partnered with The Pokémon Company to launch the inaugural Pokémon-themed pinball machine. This machine introduces high-tech features not seen in previous Pokémon pinball games on handheld devices. Players can collect Pokémon, save progress in a Pokédex on their phones, and enjoy interactive elements, including an animatronic Pikachu and HD anime visuals.

The Pokémon Pinball machine aims to immerse players in the Pokémon universe. Here are some of its key features:

Collaboration with The Pokémon Company

Stern Pinball collaborated closely with The Pokémon Company to ensure authenticity. Lead Programmer Tanio Klyce noted that extensive work went into merging pinball design with Pokémon gameplay. The focus is on the original 151 Pokémon from the Kanto region, featured prominently in the game’s art and mechanics.

Players start with classic Pokémon: Squirtle, Pikachu, Charmander, and Bulbasaur. Battles can commence by shooting certain targets, immersing players in an interactive experience.

Catching Pokémon

The pinball machine allows players to discover and catch Pokémon. At launch, players can find 182 Pokémon from various generations.
