Seahawks Coaches Attract Interest for Coordinator Positions

Two assistant coaches from the Seattle Seahawks are generating interest for coordinator roles with other NFL teams. Wide receivers coach Frisman Jackson and defensive passing game coordinator Karl Scott have both been considered for significant positions elsewhere.

Frisman Jackson: Offensive Coordinator Candidate

Frisman Jackson is set to interview for the offensive coordinator position with the Las Vegas Raiders. This opportunity follows his two-season tenure as the wide receivers coach for the Seattle Seahawks. Under the guidance of Jackson, Jaxon Smith-Njigba marked a standout season in 2024 and emerged as a leading receiver in the NFL during 2025.

Prior to his role with the Seahawks, Jackson worked for the Pittsburgh Steelers for two years. He also held positions with the Carolina Panthers, serving as wide receivers coach in 2020 and as offensive passing game coordinator in 2021. His NFL coaching career began in 2017 with the Tennessee Titans.

Scott has been with the Seahawks since 2022, where he successfully contributed to the development of four defensive backs who achieved a combined six Pro Bowl selections, most notably Devon Witherspoon.

Before joining Seattle, Scott served as the defensive backs coach for the Minnesota Vikings in 2021. He has an extensive coaching history at the college level, including a role as cornerbacks coach at Alabama from 2018 to 2020.
