The NSW Waratahs Next Gen team is set to implement three significant adjustments ahead of their match against the Queensland Reds. This Super Rugby Next Gen event takes place on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Ballymore Stadium in Brisbane. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:05 PM AEDT, with live coverage on Stan Sport and rugby.com.au’s YouTube channel.

Key Changes to the Waratahs Lineup

New additions to the starting lineup include:

Hooker Tyler Maybery
Scrum-half Sam Blank
Right wing Tom O’Hara

These players join the squad following an impressive 97-5 victory over the Western Force in Round 1. Notably, O’Hara excelled as a substitute in that match, scoring two tries.

Challenging Match Ahead

Andrew Cleverley, Head of Pathways at the Waratahs, understands the challenge posed by the Reds on their home turf. “We’re well aware that the Reds will offer a serious challenge to our team,” he noted. Cleverley expressed confidence in their preparations and eagerness to confront the tough competition.

In the previous match against the Western Force, the Waratahs showcased their depth with ten different players scoring tries.
