NotebookLM App Enhances Slide and Infographic Customization Features
The NotebookLM mobile application is evolving, enhancing user experience with new features for slide deck and infographic customization. This update signifies Google’s ongoing efforts to match the mobile capabilities of the app with its robust website functionalities.
New Features in NotebookLM App
In the latest update, users will notice new pencil icons in the Studio tab, specifically for Infographics and Slide Decks. Previously, the app defaults limited customization options for on-the-go users. Now, NotebookLM allows more flexibility, enhancing user creativity and presentation quality.
Infographic Customization
With the updated NotebookLM, infographic customization offers various options:
- Orientation: Choose from Landscape, Portrait, or Square formats.
- Sources: Add relevant references to support your content.
- Prompt Language: Tailor the language prompts to your audience.
Slide Deck Enhancements
Slide Deck customization brings additional features:
- Advertisement: Access content more effectively by scrolling.
- Format Options:
- Detailed Deck: A complete deck with full text, ideal for sharing via email or for standalone reading.
- Presenter Slides: Streamlined, visual slides focused on key points to aid presenters.
- Language Length: Select from Short, Default, or Long formats, available for Google AI Ultra subscribers.
- Sources Prompt: Include source prompts in presentations for added credibility.
Availability and App Functionality
Last week, the Slide Deck and Infographic customization features began rolling out on Android and iOS, with wider availability expected soon. If you do not see these features, try force-stopping the app to ensure you have the latest updates.
In addition to these enhancements, Google has introduced Video Overviews on mobile. However, it’s important to note that the Studio in the mobile app still lacks certain features such as Mind Maps, Reports, and Data Tables. Currently, there are no customization options for the Video Overview feature.
