Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) has unveiled its innovative broadcasting studios in Italy, which will deliver live coverage of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics to audiences across Europe.

State-of-the-Art Studios in Italy

Located in Cortina d’Ampezzo, the main studio, dubbed ‘WBD House,’ spans 600 square meters over two floors. It features a modern design combined with cutting-edge broadcast technology.

  • 217 steel and glass pieces enhance the studio’s aesthetics.
  • High-resolution cameras are strategically placed to capture stunning views of the Dolomites and Olympic venues.

This studio will also support a crew of 90, utilizing numerous cameras to provide a comprehensive viewing experience. The equipment includes:

  • 12 cameras, including jib and drone cameras
  • Two RF cameras
  • A Steadicam
  • Three XR cameras for virtual extensions

Coverage Across Europe

WBD will focus on countries such as Italy, Germany, Poland, and Norway, while also involving teams from France, the Netherlands, Denmark, and the UK. The studio will facilitate a rich lineup of interviews with athletes and special guests throughout the 19 days of competition.

Additional Studio: The Snow Dome

Another highlight is the ‘Snow Dome’ studio located in Livigno. This six-meter high dome offers a panoramic view of the slopes, designed specifically for snowboard and freestyle ski events.
