During her sophomore season in 2023, Edwards excelled on the ice, scoring 21 goals and achieving 56 points in just 41 games. This performance not only highlighted her talent but also led to her promotion to the U.S. senior national team.

In preparation for her Olympic journey, her parents launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise $50,000 for their trip to Milan. The campaign surpassed expectations, raising over $60,000. Travis Kelce contributed to this effort, reflecting the close-knit community spirit of Cleveland Heights.
