Email Confirms Authenticity of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Virginia Giuffre Photo

An email allegedly sent by Ghislaine Maxwell has surfaced, confirming the authenticity of a photograph featuring Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Virginia Giuffre. This image, with Mountbatten-Windsor’s arm around Giuffre, is part of newly released Epstein files.

Email Details and Content

The email was addressed as a “draft statement” and dated 2015, sent from “G Maxwell” to Jeffrey Epstein. It detailed an occasion in 2001 when Giuffre was in London and met friends, including Prince Andrew. Maxwell mentioned that a photograph had been taken, presumably for Giuffre to share with her friends and family.

Context of the Allegations

Virginia Giuffre, who tragically took her life in April 2025, accused Mountbatten-Windsor of sexual encounters when she was still a teenager. The former prince has consistently denied these allegations.

In 2022, he reached a financial settlement with Giuffre, which did not include any admission of liability. Mountbatten-Windsor previously questioned the authenticity of the photograph, suggesting it may have been altered. He claimed to have been at a Pizza Express in Woking, Surrey, during the time the photograph was taken.

Reaction from Giuffre’s Family

Giuffre’s family expressed feelings of validation in light of the email’s release. Sky Roberts, her brother, stated that the contents provide a sense of vindication for Virginia, affirming that she was truthful all along. He expressed pride in his sister’s courage.

Law Enforcement Response

Following a review of the allegations, the Metropolitan Police in December opted not to initiate a full criminal inquiry against Mountbatten-Windsor concerning the claims of his actions in London. This included allegations of him exerting pressure on his police protection officer to investigate Giuffre.
