In the latest injury updates from the NBA, several key players are facing challenges as they return from various ailments. The news includes updates on Christian Braun, Kevin Durant, Scoot Henderson, Victor Wembanyama, and P.J. Washington.

Christian Braun Injury Update

Denver Nuggets guard Christian Braun may be close to returning to the court. After dealing with a left ankle sprain, he has been upgraded to questionable for the upcoming game against the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday. Braun initially suffered the injury on November 12 and made a brief return on January 4.

However, he played just three games before returning to the injured list. To date, Braun has appeared in only 14 games during the 2025/26 season.

Despite his potential return, the Nuggets will still be missing key players. Cameron Johnson is out with a right knee bone bruise, and Aaron Gordon is sidelined due to a right hamstring strain.

Kevin Durant Status

Kevin Durant of the Houston Rockets has missed his third game this season due to a left ankle sprain. Ime Udoka, the team’s head coach, expressed optimism that Durant’s absence will be brief. Instead of Durant, Reed Sheppard started in the recent game against the Indiana Pacers, which Houston won.

Spurs center Victor Wembanyama was listed as questionable due to left calf soreness. Meanwhile, Stephon Castle missed a recent game with left adductor tightness. Both injuries are considered minor, with coach Mitch Johnson indicating they do not expect long-term issues.

P.J. Washington in Concussion Protocol

P.J. Washington of the Dallas Mavericks has entered the NBA’s concussion protocol. He is expected to miss at least Tuesday’s game against the Boston Celtics. Washington must go through the necessary steps to be cleared for return.
