ETV+ and Rus.ERR to Broadcast Winter Olympics

In February 2026, Italy will officially host the Winter Olympics for the fourth time, with Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo sharing the honor. This marks a historic first as two cities collaborate to present the Olympics. The last Winter Games held in Italy were in Turin in 2006.

The upcoming Olympics will feature 116 medal events across 16 sports. Estonia is set to make its largest delegation, with a total of 31 athletes participating in 11 different sports. Support staff, including coaches and medical personnel, will number 47.

Opening Ceremony Highlights

The opening ceremony promises to be unique and memorable. Scheduled for February 6, it will last approximately three hours. For the first time, two Olympic torches will be ignited: one in Milan at the Arco della Pace and the other in Cortina d’Ampezzo, where skiing events will occur.
