Bahama Breeze Shutting All Locations Nationwide This Spring

Bahama Breeze, a popular Caribbean-themed restaurant chain, is set to shut down all its locations nationwide this spring. After three decades of service, the chain will permanently close its doors by April 5, 2026.

Details of the Closures

On February 1, 2026, Darden Restaurants, the parent company of Bahama Breeze, made the announcement regarding the closures. A total of 28 locations across the country will be affected, with half of them closing completely.

Conversion of Locations

The other half of the locations will be transformed into other Darden-owned brands. This decision comes as part of a broader strategy following various earlier closures and discussions about a potential sale of the chain.

Current Locations

In South Florida, Bahama Breeze currently operates two sites:

  • Pembroke Pines: 11000 Pines Blvd.
  • Kendall: 12395 SW 88th St.

As part of this transition, all Bahama Breeze restaurants nationwide will cease operations within the next few months. This closure marks the end of an era for a brand that has been a staple in casual dining for many Americans.

Future of the Brand

The decision to close comes amidst shifting market trends and changing consumer preferences in the restaurant industry. Darden Restaurants has indicated a commitment to reallocate resources to more profitable ventures.
