James Marsden Hosts ‘Jury Duty: Company Retreat’ Reunion Episode
James Marsden will host a reunion episode for the Jury Duty spin-off Company Retreat. The special program arrives April 10 and features interviews with the cast and Anthony Norman.
What to expect
The reunion includes never-before-seen footage from the Amazon series. Marsden will speak directly with the show’s unwitting participant.
Producers describe the episode as an in-depth look back at the social experiment. It revisits key moments and reactions.
Bonus installment and commentary
A separate bonus episode titled “The Meeting” also debuts April 10. In it, Norman meets Ronald Gladden at a Los Angeles coffee shop.
They discuss their experiences as the only non-actors in a Truman Show–style experiment. Both reflect on how the projects affected their lives.
The streamer will also release recorded audio commentary for all eight Company Retreat episodes. Contributors include Norman, Alex Bonifer, Stephanie Hodge, Rachel Kaly, Emily Pendergast, and Marc-Sully Saint-Fleur.
Series premise and creative team
Company Retreat is a mockumentary about a hot sauce company’s corporate offsite. Everyone in the retreat is an actor except for Anthony Norman.
Norman had worked at the company for three days before filming began. The premise places a single real employee amid a staged workplace.
The project was created by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky. Jake Szymanski directed the series.
Marsden’s connection
James Marsden first appeared in the original Jury Duty season. That season hid one regular person inside a jury of actors.
Marsden played a heightened version of himself. He also served as an executive producer on the follow-up season.
