2026–27 Regional Championship Qualifiers: Events, Promotions, and Updates
The 2026–27 Regional Championship Qualifiers (RCQs) are set to bring excitement to Magic: The Gathering enthusiasts around the globe. This year promises a fresh series of events, new promo cards, and numerous opportunities for players to enhance their competitive journeys.
Upcoming Regional Championship Qualifiers
The next round of RCQs will begin on April 4, 2026, and will run until August 2, 2026. These qualifiers will be hosted by all WPN stores and destination event organizers during this timeframe. Important details include:
- RCQs at WPN game stores can be held in either Modern Constructed or Limited formats.
- Destination qualifiers may feature different Constructed formats in larger venues like hotels or convention centers.
- The Limited product lineup will vary based on the specific timings of the events.
Promotional Cards
Participants in this round will receive exclusive promotional cards. Every player in the RCQs will get a non-foil Ancient Stirrings card illustrated by SimzArt. Moreover, top finishers will earn a non-foil Sowing Mycospawn card designed by Nathan Jurevicius. Those qualifying for a Regional Championship will receive a traditional foil version of the Sowing Mycospawn card.
Spring Regional Championships for the Pro Tour
The Spring Regional Championships start on May 8, 2026, featuring Standard Constructed formats. Players will compete for a coveted spot in the Pro Tour Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes at MagicCon: Amsterdam, scheduled for July 17–19, 2026. All participants will receive a non-foil Emberheart Challenger promo card by CHOGRIN, with top finishers receiving foil copies.

- Australia/New Zealand: Let’s Play Games in Adelaide (May 22-24)
- EMEA: Fanfinity in Prague (May 30-31)
- China: Kadou
- Chinese Taipei: Game Square in Taipei City (May 30-31)
- Southeast Asia: Oracle Events
Future Pro Tour Qualification
The Regional Championships for the initial 2027 Pro Tour will take place from September 12 to November 1, 2026. These events will utilize Modern Constructed formats and feature a new promo card, which will be announced soon.
Magic Spotlight: Eclipsed Event
This weekend, the Magic Spotlight Series will visit Toronto for the Magic Spotlight: Eclipsed event, hosted by Face to Face Games. The two-day competition will highlight the Lorwyn Eclipsed Limited format. Although the main event is sold out, side events and Commander packages are available for participants. The winner will receive a stunning trophy commemorating their victory along with an invitation to the Pro Tour and a cash prize of $10,000.
