GO Train Delays Surge from Union Station Signal Issue
GO Transit has reported significant train delays stemming from a signal issue at Union Station. The disruptions are expected to persist throughout the day, impacting multiple routes across the network.
Extent of Train Delays
According to GO Transit, the signal problem may cause delays of up to two hours. Passengers should also be aware that some trips might be canceled or altered until repairs are completed.
Current Service Status
- Trains are unable to move through the affected area.
- Service will continue as far as possible, with trains holding at various stations.
- There is currently no UP Express service to or from Pearson Airport.
Alternate Transportation Options
GO Transit has arranged for express bus services that connect the Union Station Bus Terminal to Pearson Airport. This option is available for travelers needing to reach the airport during the disruption.
TTC Cooperation
The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) has been informed about the signal issues. GO Transit requested adjustments to accommodate its riders at select stations, starting from 8:20 a.m. today.
