Liv Morgan Discusses Royal Rumble, Injury Recovery, and WWE 2K26 in Interview

Liv Morgan, a notable presence in WWE’s Women’s Royal Rumble matches, recently shared her insights during an interview. Since the inaugural Women’s Royal Rumble in 2018, Morgan has participated in every edition, standing alongside Natalya as the only wrestlers to achieve this milestone. This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, a location where Morgan has celebrated significant victories.

Despite being a perennial participant, Morgan has yet to win the Rumble. “I’ve been runner-up a couple of times and have held numerous records, but this year could be different, especially with Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez on my side,” she remarked. With a stellar history in Saudi Arabia, including her Women’s World Championship win, Morgan is optimistic. “This might be the year for me,” she added.

Injury Recovery and Comeback

At 31, Liv Morgan boasts an impressive wrestling resume. She is a former Money in the Bank winner, a two-time Women’s World Champion, and a four-time Women’s Tag Team Champion. However, a severe shoulder injury suffered in June kept her sidelined. Morgan faced a dislocated shoulder, torn labrum, rotator cuff, and bicep, which made recovery challenging.

Reflecting on her recovery, Morgan shared, “It was tough. After my second shoulder injury, I started rehab immediately and committed to a rigorous routine.” Her dedication led to her recent return at Survivor Series, where she helped “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio secure the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

WWE 2K26 Game Unveiled

With her return, Morgan is also excited about the upcoming release of WWE 2K26. The game, launching on March 13, features over 400 playable characters and introduces new match types. “I’m one of the highest-rated characters now, and the gameplay keeps improving,” she stated.

The game also includes themed editions, such as the 2K26 Monday Night War Edition and the 2K26 Attitude Era Edition. Morgan is particularly thrilled about a showcase of CM Punk’s career, mentioning that she hopes to see herself in dream match scenarios alongside iconic personalities like AJ Lee.

Future Aspirations

As 2026 approaches, Morgan has set her sights on regaining title glory. She and new partner Roxanne Perez are keen to challenge for the Women’s Tag Team Championships. With shifting dynamics in the women’s division, including Stephanie Vaquer and Jade Cargill holding prominent titles, Morgan acknowledges the competitive landscape.
