Second Teen Victim in Frisco Sledding Tragedy, Family Confirms
The tragedy in Frisco has claimed a second young life, with the family of 16-year-old Grace “Gracie” Brito confirming her death. Gracie had been on life support following a sledding accident that killed her best friend, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Angle.
Sledding Incident Details
The incident occurred on a Sunday when both teens were riding a sled pulled by a Jeep Wrangler, driven by another teenager. The sled lost control, striking a curb and then a tree. Emergency services quickly transported both girls to the hospital. Unfortunately, Angle did not survive the injuries she sustained, while Brito was placed on life support.
Family’s Heartbreak
Grace Brito’s mother, Tracy Brito, expressed her family’s deep sorrow in a heartfelt statement. She described their world as shattered, noting that the family of four, which includes another daughter named Emma, is devastated by the loss.

Tracy remembered Gracie as “a kind and generous soul,” highlighting her warmth and compassion. She noted Gracie’s recent accomplishment of obtaining her driver’s license, as well as her wish to be an organ donor, which the family intends to fulfill.

In addition to her kind spirit, Gracie was a committed All-Star cheerleader at Express Cheer in Frisco. Her dedication to her team and her ability to encourage others were qualities that set her apart. According to her mother, Gracie was known for her creativity and bubbly personality.
