Pupils at Bungay High School now have access to a free bus route aimed at facilitating their after-school revision sessions. This initiative provides transportation to several key locations in the Halesworth and Holton areas.

New Free Bus Route for High School Students

The bus service operates from Monday to Wednesday, starting February 2 and continuing through the Easter holidays. The bus departs from Bungay High School at 4:30 PM and makes several stops, ensuring that students can return home conveniently.

Service Stops

The designated drop-off points are:

  • Halesworth Water Tower
  • Saxons Way
  • Bedingfield Crescent
  • Dukes Drive in Halesworth
  • Holton Village Hall car park

Eligibility and Capacity

This service is exclusively available to Year 11 and Year 13 pupils. It has a capacity of 16 students each day, with seats allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Halesworth Town Council has indicated that route adjustments may occur based on demand.

Inclusivity for Surrounding Villages

Students living in nearby villages are encouraged to utilize the service. They can travel to Halesworth or Holton to access the bus, where they can be picked up for their journey home.

This initiative represents a significant support effort for high school students, helping them take advantage of after-school revision opportunities.
