Strict Account Settings can be found in the Settings > Privacy > Advanced menu for both iOS and Android users. This new lockdown mode significantly restricts various functionalities to bolster security. Key changes include:

- Limiting profile photos and account information visibility.
- Restricting who can add the user to groups.
- Disabling link previews in chats.
- Blocking high-volume messages from unknown contacts.

This transition is expected to enhance security, reduce file handling risks, and streamline maintenance. Meta plans to further embrace Rust due to its perceived robustness.
