Delaware State University’s women’s basketball team achieved a monumental milestone on Thursday night. They earned their first victory in two months, defeating South Carolina State University 67-47 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). This win concluded a frustrating 12-game losing streak for the Hornets.

This victory marked the Hornets’ first overall win since their game against St. Mary’s College on November 22, where they triumphed 83-38. Nykesha Sanders, a transfer from East Texas A&M, led the charge with a commendable 17 points. She showcased her shooting skills by successfully landing five of her seven three-point attempts.
