Director Clarifies: ‘Resident Evil Requiem’ is Not Open World Game
Upcoming horror title, Resident Evil Requiem, is set for release on February 27. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC. Ahead of its launch, director Koshi Nakanishi addressed rumors regarding the game’s exploration elements.
Clarification on Open World Rumors
In an interview with Filmogaz.com, Nakanishi emphasized that Resident Evil Requiem is not an open world game. He stated, “They’ve seen some speculation of whether there’s any open world elements in the game, and they just want to set the record straight that this isn’t an open world game.”
Gameplay Mechanics
The director explained that the game aims to combine distinct gameplay styles of characters Grace and Leon. “The main concept behind this game is combining the very different gameplay of Grace and Leon into a cohesive package,” Nakanishi said. This gameplay fusion aims to represent the essence of the Resident Evil series.
