The Park City Police Department reported that Christian Young, the assailant, had previously been denied entry to the private event. He managed to enter and assaulted both Frost and a female attendee. Authorities arrested Young, booking him on charges of aggravated burglary and simple assault.

He reported, “I was assaulted by a man at Sundance Festival who told me that Trump was going to deport me before he punched me in the face.” Frost characterized Young’s actions as motivated by racism, stating that the individual was heard making racist remarks while fleeing the scene. Fortunately, Frost indicated that he was unharmed and expressed appreciation for the assistance of security personnel and local law enforcement.
