Ryanair Reduces Croatia Summer 2026 Flight Schedule by 60 Routes

This summer, Ryanair has announced significant changes to its flight schedule for Croatia in 2026. The budget airline will reduce its planned flights by approximately 60 routes, primarily impacting Zadar Airport.

Details of the Flight Reductions

According to recent updates, Ryanair will cut nearly 40 weekly flights in April and an additional 24 in May. The adjustments will also affect peak-season schedules, with a decrease of nine weekly flights overall.

Affected Routes

The following routes will see reductions:

  • Weeze: From 11 weekly to 1 daily flight
  • London Stansted: From 6 weekly to 2 flights
  • Poznan: From 10 weekly to 7 flights

Despite these changes, many services will still align with flight levels from the summer of 2025. Additionally, Ryanair will temporarily suspend service from Zagreb to Basel between mid-April and mid-May due to ongoing runway work in Switzerland.

Other Airline Operations

While Ryanair is reducing its Croatia flights, other carriers are expanding their operations. SWISS and its subsidiary Edelweiss Air will increase flights between Zurich and Zadar, deploying Airbus A220-300 and A320 aircraft. They plan to operate additional flights through August before gradually scaling back.

Passenger Traffic at Zadar Airport

Zadar Airport is expected to manage a new terminal opening this year. In 2025, it handled over 1.6 million passengers, showcasing its growing importance as a travel hub.

Fewer Flights, But Continued Growth

While Ryanair’s cuts indicate adjustments from its initial schedule, the airline is still set to operate more flights from Croatia in summer 2026 compared to the previous year. In total, during peak months, Ryanair will add:

  • 12 weekly flights in June
  • 9 weekly flights in July and August

Overall, Ryanair’s recent modifications reflect a broader trend across its global network, with reductions of approximately 200 weekly flights planned for June, July, and August.
