Kelly-Ann Gallien Joins Survivor Québec Cast

Kelly-Ann Gallien, a young journalist and figure skater from Bouctouche, has joined the cast of Survivor Québec. She is the sole representative from New Brunswick and the youngest contestant in the show’s fourth season, which is filmed in Panama.

Kelly-Ann’s Journey to Survivor Québec

At just 23 years old, Kelly-Ann presents a compelling story of resilience. Her mother, Patricia Lafond St-Onge, a longtime fan of the reality show, has expressed pride in her daughter’s participation. Patricia has followed Survivor for 49 seasons, including various international versions.

“I love the game and the concept. I would have participated myself, but health issues kept me from applying this year,” she stated. “But I believe Kelly-Ann is special.”

A Tough Childhood

Kelly-Ann battled alopecia, which led to physical and psychological bullying during her childhood. According to Patricia, her daughter faced significant challenges. She recalled instances of intimidation and violence, including being physically assaulted because of her appearance.

“It was rough. I spent a lot of time at school because of the bullying,” Patricia shared. “Today, Kelly-Ann is strong and resilient, ready to advocate for others.”

Preparation for the Game

Encouraged by her mother, Kelly-Ann submitted her application to Survivor Québec, initially unsure of her chances. “When we made the audition video, we included funny parodies. At first, she thought it was a joke,” Patricia explained. “But I believed she would be called back, and she was.”

Kelly-Ann has been figure skating since age four and is well-versed in various sports, making training a daily part of her life. Although she wasn’t an avid viewer of Survivor, she studied previous episodes to prepare for the show.

Family Support

Her fiancé, Jacob Peterson, has been supportive throughout her journey. He noted that she had to pass numerous physical and psychological tests to secure a place in the competition. “She was both stressed and excited before her departure,” he said. “Her energy and sociability will be her strengths in the game.”

The Competition Ahead

As contestants undergo extreme challenges on a remote island, Patricia is optimistic about Kelly-Ann’s performance. “It’s hard to predict how far she’ll go. It depends on her comfort in the group and who she trusts,” Patricia stated.

The fourth season of Survivor Québec, hosted by Patrice Bélanger, will air in the spring on Noovo and Crave, though a specific release date has yet to be announced. The show will follow the contestants as they strive to survive and compete for a grand prize.
