Husker Wrestler AJ Ferrari Indicted on Felony Charge in Texas
AJ Ferrari, a wrestler for the Huskers, has been indicted on a third-degree felony charge in Texas. Court records from Collin County confirm that the indictment was issued on January 15. The charge relates to allegations that Ferrari used a vehicle to evade arrest.
Details of the Indictment
Ferrari is set to appear in court for the first time regarding this case on February 6. He was previously sought by Texas authorities since October when he allegedly fled from police using a motor vehicle. This led to a warrant for his arrest.
Traffic Stop and Arrest
On January 9, Nebraska State Patrol stopped Ferrari for speeding on Interstate 80 near Waverly. This occurred shortly after the Huskers’ wrestling team won against Purdue in Lincoln. During this traffic stop, the outstanding arrest warrant was discovered.

Following his arrest, Ferrari was booked into the Lancaster County Jail for the outstanding warrant. He made his initial court appearance three days after his arrest. Currently, Ferrari is listed as a potential starter for the upcoming wrestling meet against the Iowa team scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m.
