Katy ISD Dancers Earn Coveted TDEA All-State Honors
Katy Independent School District (Katy ISD) proudly recognizes nine of its dancers who have achieved the prestigious Texas Dance Educators Association (TDEA) All-State honors. This accolade is among the highest achievements in Texas dance education, emphasizing students’ remarkable technique, artistry, leadership, and commitment.

Selected from a competitive pool statewide, these dancers exemplify the impressive standards of dance education within the Katy ISD system. Their journey illustrates years of diligent practice and unwavering dedication, both in studios and performance arenas.

- Abigail Eugate – Jordan High School
- Erika Ashmore – Katy High School
- Marylynn Rojero – Mayde Creek High School
- Jocelyn Rios – Morton Ranch High School
- Taliyah Dyson – Paetow High School
- Brooke Vorst – Seven Lakes High School
- Amelia Delatorre – Taylor High School
- Emma Parnell – Tompkins High School
Damon Archer, the Executive Director of Fine Arts at Katy ISD, commended these dancers, stating that their recognition as TDEA All-State Dancers reflects not only their individual talent but also the influential role of their educators and dance programs. Archer expressed pride in their accomplishments and excitement for their future in dance.
As part of this honor, the All-State dancers will participate in TDEA’s annual convention. This event will offer them the chance to learn from professional choreographers, collaborate with other top dancers in Texas, and perform in an elite showcase.
