Bushfire Breaks Out Near Riverlea in Northern Adelaide
In a recent bushfire incident, a fire ignited near Riverlea Park, located along the Gawler River close to Virginia. The blaze prompted initial concerns, leading the Country Fire Service (CFS) to issue a ‘Watch and Act’ warning.

On Thursday afternoon, the CFS downgraded the warning to an advisory level around 3:40 PM. Fortunately, officials stated there is no immediate threat to lives or property.

The scrub fire was progressing in a north-westerly direction towards Horseshoe Crescent and Port Wakefield Highway. As a precaution, drivers in the vicinity are advised to exercise caution due to smoke affecting visibility.
