On Thursday afternoon, the CFS downgraded the warning to an advisory level around 3:40 PM. Fortunately, officials stated there is no immediate threat to lives or property.

The scrub fire was progressing in a north-westerly direction towards Horseshoe Crescent and Port Wakefield Highway. As a precaution, drivers in the vicinity are advised to exercise caution due to smoke affecting visibility.
