January’s New PS Plus Games Feature Free DLC on PS Store
This month’s highlights include “Darkest Dungeon II” and “Resident Evil Village,” both of which come with enticing downloadable content at no extra cost.
Darkest Dungeon II: Free Hero Origin Pack
“Darkest Dungeon II,” released in 2021, is a notable RPG now available on both PS4 and PS5. Players can claim the Hero Origin Pack, which includes unique skins for each hero in the game. These skins apply to main characters and some DLC characters, though the DLC characters themselves must be purchased separately for their skins to be utilized.
- Game: Darkest Dungeon II
- Available on: PS4, PS5
- DLC: Hero Origin Pack
- Includes: Origin hero skins
To unlock these skins after downloading the pack, players must complete each hero’s Shrines within the game. Once accomplished, the skins can be accessed in the Cosmetics tab.
Resident Evil Village: Free VR Mode Add-On
The second major title, “Resident Evil Village,” also features free content. Players who own a PSVR2 headset can access the VR Mode add-on at no additional cost. However, this requires the full game to be downloaded, as the VR mode integrates essential elements from the base game.
- Game: Resident Evil Village
- Required: PSVR2 headset
- DLC: VR Mode add-on (requires base game)
These new offerings enhance the gaming experience for players, combining engaging gameplay with exclusive cosmetics and features available this January.
