Crown Heights Wedding Costs Transformed by Groundbreaking Initiative
A significant new initiative has been announced in Crown Heights aimed at transforming the financial landscape of wedding planning. Keren Hachomesh, in collaboration with Oholei Torah, is introducing an all-inclusive wedding package priced at $29,500. This exclusive offering is designed to alleviate the high costs typically associated with lavish weddings.
Crown Heights Wedding Package Details
The new package is close to half the price of average weddings, which often exceed $50,000 in Crown Heights. It includes:
- Exclusive venue at the Oholei Torah Ballroom.
- Select high-quality vendors, ensuring consistent quality at reduced prices.
- Catering from Table One Catering, known for its exceptional kosher cuisine.
- Floral services by Chanie Greenbaum Events or Debby Event Design.
- Photography by CJ Studios.
- Musical entertainment options featuring well-known artists.
- Wedding planning services by Mrs. Devorah Benjamin if required.
This package is designed to cater for a standard wedding size of 275 guests, with options for larger gatherings.
Goals of the Initiative
The primary objective of this initiative is to make dignified and tasteful weddings accessible to every Chabad family. Rabbi Shmaya Krinsky, Executive Director of Keren HaChomesh, emphasized that the initiative aims to reduce the financial burdens on families, preventing them from incurring significant debt.
This strategic offering is rooted in Keren HaChomesh’s mission to help chasanim and kallos, enhanced by years of experience listening to community concerns regarding wedding affordability.
Community Support and Venue Availability
The Oholei Torah venue aims to remain a community resource. Keren Hachomesh is also exploring financing options to further assist families. The ballroom will be available for private rentals as well, maintaining flexibility for those who prefer to select their own vendors.
This transformative package is set to launch Rosh Chodesh Sivan, with a dedicated booking website expected in February. Community institutions will still have access to the venue for events under specific scheduling guidelines.
Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky remarked on the initiative’s commitment to quality and dignity, ensuring that affordability does not compromise the elegance associated with Jewish weddings.
As this groundbreaking initiative unfolds, it promises to redefine the wedding experience in Crown Heights, making beautiful celebrations more accessible for all couples.
