According to Downdetector, a service that monitors outages, approximately 200,000 users reported issues by 10:52 a.m. ET. The problems had begun around 10:10 a.m. and appeared to resolve momentarily at 10:35 a.m., only to return by 10:41 a.m.

Types of Issues Reported

  • 56% of the reports were related to the X app.
  • 33% were attributed to the website.
  • 10% involved server connection issues.

History of Connectivity Problems

This is not the first extensive outage for X. A prior incident occurred in November, when users reported messages like “Internal server error / Error code 500” and issues accessing certain pages. In March 2025, the platform faced multiple brief outages, with 21,000 reports from U.S. users and 10,800 from the U.K. during a 45-minute span.
