Health Canada Issues Nationwide Soap Recall Over Chemical Hazard Concerns
Health Canada has issued a nationwide recall affecting soaps from Lake of the Woods Sunrise Soap Co., based in Ontario. This recall, announced on a Wednesday, is due to concerns over a dangerous chemical hazard related to methyl eugenol.
Details of the Recall
The recall involves approximately 400 units of the “Shades of Grey” bar soap. These products were sold across Canada from January 2019 and are expected to remain on shelves until January 2026. The affected soap bars come in sizes of 16 g, 67 g, and 135 g.
