Worc Studio Designs Circular Stone Table for Revered Mexico City Restaurant
Worc Studio, a design firm based in Mexico City and Madrid, has unveiled its latest project: a circular stone table for Savvia, a new restaurant located in the historic Centro Histórico region of Mexico City. This 153-square-meter (1,646-square-foot) establishment occupies a mid-20th-century building known as Humboldt.

The design integrates a communal aspect, reflecting family traditions and shared experiences. The centerpiece is a large red stone table, described by Worc Studio as both sculptural and symbolic. This table fosters interaction and storytelling among patrons.
Architectural Inspiration
Worc Studio’s design philosophy emphasizes the “act of sharing,” informed by familial food traditions. The firm’s co-founders, Ricardo Martínez and Camila Ureña, noted that the architecture allows guests to connect through food across generations.
