Panama Lands in Santa Cruz
Panama’s national football team has arrived in Santa Cruz for upcoming friendly matches. The team landed at the Viru Viru International Airport just before midnight.
Training and Preparation in Santa Cruz
After their arrival, the players were transferred to a hotel for rest and preparation. Pedro Vita, the team’s communications chief, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome from Bolivia. He stated, “The team is well and motivated for the two upcoming friendlies.”
The matches include one against Bolivia in Tarija and another against Mexico in Panama City at the end of January.
Team’s Outlook on Upcoming Matches
While optimistic, Vita emphasized that the team does not consider itself favorites. Despite their last victory over Bolivia in the 2024 Copa America, he noted that all South American teams deserve respect. “We feel like a qualified team, and every South American team is to be respected,” Vita remarked.
