Authorities in Canberra are intensifying their investigation following the discovery of four additional pipe bombs in the Belconnen area, bringing the total number of explosive devices found to 15. This alarming series of events began when 11 pipe bombs were located near Lake Ginninderra over the course of two days.
Details of the Discoveries
On Wednesday, ACT Policing warned residents about the potential danger. The devices were discovered along footpaths situated between Ginninderra Drive and Joynton Smith Drive.
During a press conference, police confirmed the existence of these explosive devices. Some of the bombs had detonated before being retrieved, while others were safely handled by law enforcement.
