Kansas Football Pursues Former Kansas State RB Dylan Edwards

The Kansas Jayhawks are actively pursuing former Kansas State running back Dylan Edwards as they prepare for the upcoming football season. According to a report from Pete Nakos of On3, Edwards is starting the visitation process with potential programs.

Kansas Football Targets Dylan Edwards

Edwards, a notable player from Derby High School, has had a tumultuous college career. He initially committed to Kansas State but later switched commitments to Notre Dame and then to Colorado. After spending a year with Colorado, he returned to Kansas State.

His time at Kansas State has been marked by challenges. In the 2025 season, an injury limited his participation. Edwards left the team midseason to maintain his redshirt eligibility, after struggling in the Wildcats’ Week 0 loss to Iowa State. He made only a minor impact in the remaining games of the year.

Rivalry Intensifies

Edwards is a controversial figure among Kansas State fans, which could heighten tensions for the upcoming rivalry game against Kansas. The Jayhawks will host the Wildcats at Bill Snyder Family Stadium this fall. Should Edwards join Kansas, the rivalry will undoubtedly become more heated.
