Buddhist monks have embarked on an extraordinary “Walk for Peace,” covering 2,300 miles to promote messages of compassion and loving-kindness. The journey spans 120 days, originating from Fort Worth, Texas, and concluding in Washington, D.C.

Monks Approach Charlotte on Their Peace Walk

On January 14, the monks will arrive in Mecklenburg County, with an expected presence in Charlotte by late afternoon. Their arrival marks a significant milestone as they continue their mission, having already walked for over 80 days.
