Matt Hardy Clarifies: Live Broadcasting Isn’t Mandatory
TNA Wrestling is entering an exciting new chapter as “TNA Impact” prepares to debut live on AMC. This event marks the first time the flagship show will broadcast on the network, scheduled for January 15, 2026. The new broadcast deal ends the previous practice of bulk-taping the weekly episodes.
Matt Hardy’s Insight on Live Broadcasting
Matt Hardy, the current TNA World Tag Team Champion, shared his thoughts on live broadcasts during a recent episode of his podcast, “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy.” Hardy emphasized that while live shows are beneficial, they are not essential for success. He stated, “I think live is very nice. When you can have a live show on a more regular basis, that’s a good thing. But I don’t think it’s mandatory.”
Upcoming Show Details
The inaugural live episode on January 15 will take place in Dallas, followed by a second live event on January 22 in Albuquerque. Hardy encouraged fans in these regions to attend the shows, saying, “If you live in those areas and you want to see some TNA Wrestling, this is going to be your chance to do it.”
Additional Events
- TNA will host the Genesis pay-per-view event live on January 17 in Dallas.
- Following Genesis, there will be an “Impact” taping on January 18 in Albuquerque.
- The schedule will alternate between live broadcasts and taped events moving forward.
