Nick and Margaret Rejoin BBC’s The Apprentice After 13-Year Hiatus

After a 13-year gap, Nick and Margaret have returned to the BBC boardroom of The Apprentice. The pair will join Lord Alan Sugar for the series 20 final. They will help decide who receives a £250,000 investment.

Boardroom reunion

Margaret Mountford originally left the show in 2009 to pursue a PhD in papyrology. She was reported as aged 74 at the time of this coverage. Nick Hewer departed in December 2014 after ten series and was reported as aged 82.

The two advisors have made occasional TV appearances since their departures. They have not appeared together on screen since 2013 until now.

Who joins the panel

Alongside Nick and Margaret, three former winners will advise the finalists. Sources name cosmetic clinician Dr Leah Totton, recruiter Ricky Martin, and last year’s winner Dean Franklin.

The five advisors will consult with finalists Karishma Vijay and Pascha Myhill before the final pitches to industry experts.

Finalists, businesses and odds

Karishma Vijay is the bookmakers’ favourite. Betting site MyBettingSites.co.uk gives her 1/3 odds of winning the final.

Karishma, aged 28, has led as project manager on two winning tasks this series. Her business, KishKin skincare, is already established.

Pascha Myhill is one of the youngest finalists ever. She has said the chance to partner with Lord Sugar, not just the money, motivated her application.

Public reaction and context

Fans have reacted strongly on social platforms, with many backing Karishma. Commentators note Lord Sugar’s prior success with skincare ventures as a factor in his likely decision.

Pascha argues she can start her recruitment business independently. Still, she values the mentorship and backing that a Sugar partnership would provide.

Broadcast details

The final airs tonight on BBC One and on iPlayer at 9pm. Filmogaz.com will monitor reactions and report results after the broadcast.
