Lorenz Larkin Withdraws from Netflix Event Due to Injury
Lorenz Larkin will not fight at the Most Valuable Promotions MMA event on Netflix. The card is scheduled for May 16 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
Withdrawal details
Larkin, who carries a 27-8 professional record, announced the decision on Instagram Stories. He said a knee injury forced him to withdraw and that he will focus on rehabilitation.
The scheduled opponent was former Bellator champion Jason Jackson, listed at 19-6. The promotion has not confirmed a replacement yet.
Context on the fighters
Larkin last fought under the Karate Combat banner in December. He lost to Vanilto Antunes in the first round, ending a three-fight run across MMA and karate events.
Jackson’s most recent outing came last June in a PFL headliner against Thad Jean. That fight went the distance and produced a controversial split decision.
