Scarlett Faulkner Passes Away After Co Tipperary Assault

Scarlett Faulkner has passed away following an assault in County Tipperary. She was in her twenties.

Incident and hospital treatment

The attack happened on the side of the road near Birdhill on March 21. Faulkner was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment.

She had been in critical condition. An Garda Síochána confirmed her death on Monday evening.

Official procedures

The coroner has been notified. A postmortem examination will take place in due course.

A Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to support her relatives. The Garda investigation remains active.

Arrests and charges

Two people have been charged in connection with the assault.

  • A 16-year-old girl is charged with assault causing serious harm. The alleged offence dates to March 21.
  • A 40-year-old woman faces charges of endangerment, violent disorder and burglary. These charges arose from the Garda probe.

Both suspects cannot be identified by court order. District Court judge Carol Anne Coolican issued the restriction.

They were remanded in custody. Their next appearance is at Tipperary District Court in Nenagh on April 23.
