Colin Jost Stars as Dentist-Drug Lord Larry Lavin in New Peacock Drama Series
Peacock is developing a drama centered on dentist-turned-criminal Larry Lavin. Colin Jost is attached to play the lead role.
The project adapts Season 1 of Audacy’s true crime podcast Wolves Among Us. The story follows an Ivy League-trained dentist who led a secret cocaine operation.
Source material and premise
The series draws on the podcast’s reporting and interviews. It examines how a suburban family man built a drug network beneath a polished life.
Producers describe the story as both shocking and darkly absurd. The narrative explores the contrast between the American dream and hidden criminality.
Casting and production team
Alex Barnow will serve as showrunner. The series remains untitled while in development.
Colin Jost will also executive produce. Jeff Grosvenor will produce through No Notes Productions, which has an overall deal at Universal Television.
