Darren Till Joins Conor McGregor’s BKFC After Exiting Misfits
Former UFC competitor Darren Till has signed a multi-fight contract with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. He is scheduled to make his BKFC debut on May 30 at BKFC 90 in Birmingham’s Utilita Arena.
Debut details and matchup
Till is slated to fight at 185 pounds for his first BKFC bout. An opponent has not yet been announced for the event.
The 33-year-old publicly expressed enthusiasm about the move. He said he intends to be a dominant presence on the roster.
Exit from Misfits Boxing
Till confirmed he would leave Misfits Boxing after three fights with the KSI-fronted promotion. He said he left on “extremely good terms” with the company and its staff.
- Defeated Anthony Taylor while with Misfits.
- Beat Darren Stewart under that banner.
- Scored a knockout of Luke Rockhold and won the bridgerweight title in August.
UFC history and recent form
Before joining Misfits, Till competed in the UFC. He lost five of his final six fights in the promotion before departing in 2023.
His 3-0 run for Misfits increased his popularity among fans. That streak helped pave the way for this next career step.
BKFC ownership, growth and context
Conor McGregor is a part owner of BKFC through his company. McGregor Sports and Entertainment purchased a stake in the promotion in April 2024.
Other notable names have competed for BKFC. Olympic gold medallist and former two-time IBF super-middleweight champion James DeGale has also fought with the organisation.
Sport’s resurgence
Bare-knuckle fighting has expanded its profile despite controversy. The United States saw its first sanctioned bare-knuckle bout in 130 years in Wyoming in 2018.
With his switch, Darren Till joins a growing BKFC roster. The move follows his exit from Misfits and signals a new chapter in his combat career.
