Live Updates and Analysis: Alabama A-Day Spring Football Game Results
The Crimson Tide returned to Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday, April 11, 2026. Kickoff for the two-hour A-Day scrimmage was set for 1 p.m. CT. This marked Kalen DeBoer’s third spring showcase at Alabama with fans in attendance.
Pre-game events and logistics
The team held a Walk of Fame ceremony at Denny Chimes at 11 a.m. CT. DeBoer and the 2025 captains participated in the ceremony.
Gates opened at noon. Fans entered through designated gates and the first 5,000 received a limited-edition poster.
Alabama performed its Walk of Champions tradition at 12:45 p.m. CT. The scrimmage started at 1 p.m.
The audio broadcast ran on the Crimson Tide Sports Network. Local stations included WTBC 100.9 FM, WFFN 95.3 FM and WEBC 1230 AM.
On-field observations
DeBoer framed A-Day as more scrimmaging than a traditional exhibition. He emphasized offense versus defense work.
Early action featured a deflected pass by Luke Metz. The play knocked down a throw intended for Keelon Russell.
Quarterback Austin Mack completed one of his first three attempts for 14 yards. The lone completion went to tight end Kaleb Edwards.
Coaches rotated offensive line combinations during drills. One first-team alignment showed Jackson Lloyd at left tackle.
Racin Delgatty lined up at center with Mal Waldrep and Michael Carroll on the interior. Nick Brooks took snaps at right tackle.
Brooks played guard as a true freshman at Texas. He was recruited to Alabama as a tackle.
Running backs and injury note
Daniel Hill and Kevin Riley led the running-back warm-up rotation. They were followed by A.K. Dear and Khalifa Keith.
Freshman Trae’Shawn Brown continued to draw positive attention after spring practices. Another freshman running back arrived on crutches.
The unnamed freshman came on a medical scooter. His right leg was propped up, and he missed most of the spring with an injury.
