NBA Playoffs: Bracket, Standings, Clinching Scenarios, and Schedule
With two regular-season games left, the playoff landscape remains unsettled. Friday, April 10 had the potential to resolve several key spots.
Eastern Conference update
The top four seeds in the East are set. Detroit sits at No. 1, Boston No. 2, New York No. 3 and Cleveland No. 4.
Detroit beat Charlotte 118-100. That result also pushed Charlotte into the play-in tournament.
Clinching Scenarios and recent results
Boston secured the Atlantic Division after a 144-118 win over New Orleans. The Celtics also tied the NBA record with 29 three-pointers in that game.
New York beat Toronto 112-95, but the Knicks lacked enough remaining games to overtake Boston for No. 2.
Atlanta routed Cleveland 124-102 and clinched the Southeast Division and a top-six seed. Toronto still holds the tiebreaker over Atlanta, having swept all four meetings.
Western Conference update
The West has six teams already through to the postseason. Four teams remain in the play-in mix.
The Nuggets, Lakers and Rockets are jockeying for the No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 seeds.
