Kindred Lubeck Debuts Artifex Bridal, Designer of Taylor Swift’s Engagement Ring

Kindred Lubeck, the renowned jeweler, is making waves in the bridal jewelry market with her new line, Artifex Bridal. This innovative collection debuts on April 10 at 4 p.m. EST, offering a select assortment of engagement rings and wedding bands designed to last a lifetime.

Background on Kindred Lubeck

Lubeck’s career took a remarkable turn last August when Travis Kelce proposed to Taylor Swift using an antique diamond ring crafted by her. The ring featured an old mine brilliant cut diamond set in a hand-engraved yellow gold band from Artifex Fine. Swift, an admirer of Lubeck’s craftsmanship, expressed her excitement when she recognized the ring’s unique style.

Introducing Artifex Bridal

The launch of Artifex Bridal aims to meet a growing demand for Lubeck’s exquisite jewelry. This limited-edition collection includes:

  • Engagement rings
  • Wedding bands with channel-set baguettes
  • A tennis bracelet featuring a hand-engraved sunburst design
  • A stunning 3.63 carat old mine diamond ring with an engraved halo

These items represent Lubeck’s commitment to creating distinctive pieces. While the collection is not mass-produced, it allows customers to bypass the long waitlist typically associated with custom work.

Unique Creations for Every Bride

Each piece in the Artifex Bridal line will be handcrafted with care. Though Lubeck will repurpose designs, no two rings will be identical. “You won’t be meeting someone else who has the exact same ring as you,” Lubeck assures. This commitment to individuality aligns with her desire to keep the brand’s ethos intact.

Limited Availability and Future Plans

As Lubeck expands her bridal offerings, she plans quarterly drops featuring around 25 unique rings each time. This approach allows her to maintain the quality and exclusivity that her clients expect. Despite the increased interest generated by Swift’s engagement ring, Lubeck remains focused on personalized service rather than mass production.

“Mass producing is wholly against the ethos of the brand,” she emphasizes. Currently, Lubeck manages about 10 custom commissions per year, but she hopes to reach more people through her new collection.

Fans of Taylor Swift and bridal jewelry enthusiasts alike can look forward to the unveiling of Artifex Bridal. This new line is set to redefine engagement rings and wedding bands, offering brides a unique option for their special day.
