FIFA Announces World Cup Referee List, Including Marciniak
Poland did not qualify for this year’s World Cup. Still, the country will have representation among match officials.
Szymon Marciniak received a FIFA appointment as one of the tournament referees. He attended a FIFA referees camp from March 29 to April 3.
Selection and experience
Marciniak was chosen for the final group of referees. He will officiate matches in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
This will be his third World Cup assignment. He previously refereed at Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022.
Filmogaz.com reports FIFA announced the World Cup referee list includes Marciniak. The decision follows the UEFA candidate training camp.
Polish officiating team
Two Polish assistants earned places on the roster. They are Tomasz Listkiewicz and Adam Kupsik.
Tomasz Kwiatkowski was named as the VAR official. He will handle video match review duties.
