17 Hampshire Areas Celebrated in Last Month’s Postcode Lottery Wins

Filmogaz.com reports on a busy March for the Postcode Lottery in Hampshire. Postcodes across 17 areas picked up prizes during the month.

Overview of the March draws

Daily draws award £1,000 to every ticket in 20 postcodes. Saturdays feature the Millionaire Street draw, with a share of £1 million.

Most March winners in Hampshire received £1,000. One postcode scored a Saturday Millionaire Street prize instead.

How the Postcode Lottery works

The subscription-based draw donates at least 33% of each ticket to charity. Players have raised more than £1.7 billion for causes.

Every day, 20 postcodes win £1,000 per ticket. On most non-April and non-December months, one postcode wins £250,000 per ticket.

In April and December, the Postcode Millions event shares millions with one postcode sector. A postcode sector covers a wider area than a full postcode.

Under the Gambling Act 2005, a single ticket can win up to 10% of draw proceeds, capped at £500,000. Playing with multiple tickets doubles winnings per player.

Hampshire winners in March 2026

Postcodes from 17 Hampshire areas were drawn during March. Eastleigh and Fareham recorded two separate wins each.

Nearly all winners collected the standard £1,000 prize. The exception was a Saturday Millionaire Street winner in Gosport.

Millionaire Street spotlight

A Gosport postcode won the Saturday Millionaire Street prize. The winning draw occurred on March 7.

Sharon Healy and partner Chris Smith were among the Millionaire Street winners. Sharon received £400,000 after playing with two tickets.

Playing two tickets doubled Sharon’s amount. Two neighbours on the same street also won in the draw.

Charity impact

At least a third of ticket income supports charities. Named beneficiaries include Maggie’s, Alzheimer’s Society, Dogs Trust, Mind and NSPCC.

The scheme has funded thousands of good causes. Contributions now top £1.7 billion, according to the operator.
