Mykhailo Mudryk Trains Solo at Uxbridge FC

Just after 11am a large van pulled into Uxbridge FC’s Honeycroft car park. Mykhailo Mudryk stepped out with two members of his staff.

He carried a large bag of balls and wore bright pink boots. The small team set up metal mannequins and began a shooting session.

On the pitch

Footage showed Mudryk training solo on Uxbridge FC’s 3G surface. Two local goalkeepers joined the drill to focus on finishing.

The first exercises were quick give-and-go plays around the mannequins. He attempted first-time shots from the left side and hit the far corner repeatedly.

Speed, technique and analysis

The session moved to sprint-throughs on goal. Goalkeepers were urged to rush off their lines to simulate match pressure.

He displayed notable acceleration and varied his finishes. A camera on a tall tripod recorded movements for immediate review on a phone.

Set pieces and long-range work

Mudryk switched to left-foot shooting and then to strikes from outside the box. One powerful right-foot shot rattled the crossbar.

Many attempts found the net with power and precision. After a series of penalties the two-hour session concluded.

Departure

He thanked the goalkeepers and helped stow the mannequins. Then he left quickly, remaining polite but guarded.

Legal situation

The training is arranged discreetly by his entourage while he serves a provisional FA suspension. The Football Association first contacted him in December 2024.

A routine urine test returned an adverse finding. He was formally charged with an anti-doping rule breach in June 2025.

The maximum sanction is a four-year ban. He has already missed about 16 months, which would likely count as time served.

Player stance and timeline

Mudryk has consistently denied wrongdoing. There is no clear timetable for the disciplinary process to finish.

Club and international impact

He has not played for Chelsea since scoring in a 2-0 away win at Heidenheim in November 2024. He was 23 then and turned 25 in January.

Chelsea remain publicly supportive but have recruited for the left wing. Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens joined the squad last summer.

On the international stage, Ukraine’s hopes of World Cup qualification ended in a defeat by Sweden last week. The team missed his presence.

Honeycroft and facilities

Honeycroft sits in Yiewsley between a golf course and Stockley Country Park. The stadium holds 3,770 spectators.

The club installed a new 3G pitch in late 2024 as part of a £1 million refurbishment. The surface matches the standard used by Young Boys at Wankdorf.

For now, Mudryk is keeping sharp on that surface. His aim is to be ready if and when football permits his return.
